Shoreline Greenbelt Demonstration Gardens

The Lake Charlevoix Association proudly announces the successful revitalization of the Shoreline Greenbelt Demonstration Gardens at Sunset Park in Boyne City. Thanks to the leadership of Mike Costa, who organized and led this effort with incredible dedication, and the generous contributions of Ryan’s Landscape, Nancy Cunningham, Gow Litzenburger, the City of Boyne City, the Wood Shop, and our amazing volunteers, the gardens have been beautifully renewed. Through thoughtful replanting with native species, this refreshed space now enhances both the ecological resilience and visual charm of the shoreline—helping to filter runoff, prevent erosion, and protect the health of Lake Charlevoix’s watershed. We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave their time and talent to reinvigorate this cherished place.
