- Early May - Phragmites stand locations posted to interactive map on LCA website
- Early May - First informational mailing to property owners
- Mid-May - Apply to Michigan Department of Environmental Quality for lake-wide permit
- Early June - Public awareness meetings (See following schedule)
- Late June -Training of volunteer surveyors(See following schedule)
- July- Resurvey shoreline in detail
- July - Secure permission for treatment from landowners
- August - Train volunteers to treat and harvest, or choose a contractor (funding?)
- September- Application of herbicide
- September - 2 weeks after treatment, harvest and destroy dead plants
