We're not much without U!

We've enlisted a record number of volunteers for all LCA projects in 2009. And the year isn't over.
A total of 75 LCA members pitched in to do boat counts, photography and web support, two phragmites surveys and education, board activities, administrative support and the Experience Lake Charlevoix trip for local science students account for 75 volunteers.
Through July, LCA volunteers had logged about 300 hours for the phragmites survey alone. More volunteers are expected to take part this fall as we treat and harvest the phragmites seed heads.
We need your intellectual talent, too, with help analyzing data, writing grants and contracts, reading and interpreting zoning and government laws. Look in our fall newsletter for a questionnaire on volunteer talent and take a few minutes to describe what you'd like to do.
We'll post volunteer opportunities for the fall and winter on our website, so CHECK BACK!
